Like...what is wrong with Paul? Alternatively, is history being taught wrong? What did he really say?

Paul Revere didn't say anything, he was actually captured by a british patrol just outside Boston. He was just the most prominent of the "midnight riders" and a poem about the event used his name so he's the one we all know about. Also, history is being taught somewhat sugarcoated in younger years, but not as grossly as many people try to make it seem.

Let us consult the true authorities on Paul Revere, The Beastie Boys. Now hears a little story, that I would like to tell about history, a silversmith and a signal that you know so well. I think that at the time, since we had signed the declaration, and declared ourselves a sovereign nation, technically we did not consider ourselves Brit's. And by the time of the declaration, many generations had been born and raised here, erego native americans.

By British, I believe he was referring to the Red Coats. The colonists wore different colors, but the British (that infiltrated America after other Brits already settled here) would wear red coats that made them stand out from the environment and other people :).

What Mike Cecala wrote. Besides, we were not all Brits in the first place. Some of us were Dutch & from many other nations and nationalities.

At that time, they were already Americans tecnicly. And you better believe history is being taught wrong. Weight until you get to college and take sociology, you will see why........

They believed they were seperate from the British. In their minds they are Americans temporarily owned by the British. Plus... What else would you call them? "THE ASSHOLES ARE COMING, THE ASSHOLES ARE COMING"
