Good interesting story about the civil war?

Ok, so i have this project in history. it's a civil war scrapbook where we have to find info about generals, battles, etc. The only thing i'm having trouble finding is a 'human interest story' My teacher said to google "interesting stories of the civil war" or something. She gave examples of like brother fighting against brother, any odd story about the civil war but i can't find any of those stories. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know and give me the link as well. I really appreciate it. I hope this made sense but please help if you have any suggestions! :D

Belle boyd, the most famous southern spy, took advantage of Union soldiers' gallantry towards a beautiful teenage girl, and served as a courier for the Confederate intelligence service and delivered information on troop size and placement she had picked up from her admirers. On her final mission, Belle sailed to England carrying Confederate dispatches and was captured by a Union blockade. She later married the Union officer who had taken command of her captured steamer.



The most complete account of a woman soldier fromt he Civil War period was written by Loreta Velazquez several years after her military career ended. She joined the confederate army disguised as a man, calling herself H T Burford, and giving herself the rank of Lieutenant. She recruted 236 men for her private battalion, which she intended to deliver to her husband, but he was killed before she could reach him. She relinquished her command, and went to serve under General bonham. She fought at Blackburn's Ford, at Bull Run, and ain other battles, and seemed to enjoy the war thoroughly.
