Hey, I am really interested in Nazi Germany - I'm doing it for GCSE but of course that level is quite basic compared to what you can do.

I would like to become an expert in Germany from 1914, the weimar government, spartacists revolt and nazism etc.

Is there any book which talks about everything? like the hitler youth and stuff.

thanks

Suggest you type Enquire (UK) into search engine? - this brings up Yahoo's partner in the library service, who should be able to give you advice on the top books to read on each of these subjects or covering all - otherwise, you may drown in the amount of books there are available -

Otherwise, if you type in 'Weimar to Nazism', you'll be offered hundreds of links including Wikepedia which offers a suggested further reading list (which should keep you busy for a year).

I suggest that you go to the German Q & A site and ask the Germans. Your question translated in German is:

Ich suche nach einem sehr ausführlichen Buch über Deutschland Periode 1914 - 1945, können Sie mir helfen?

They will most likely natter something in their lingo, but you may be able to pick out the title of the book and the author. Google that title/author and you most likely will find an English translation.

Don't be put off if they react a bit brusque. I asked them something about lesbians in their country and their reactions were quite unusual. (e.g: we don't have a problem with that subject, so we don't ask questions about it). It will certainly be an experience for you. Would they dare to give you a similar reply??

BOOKS; Mien Kampf, the Rise & Fall of the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler

All three of these books are lengthy but good books on the subject.

What about visiting antique/second-hand book stores? You might be surprised at the results.
