I have had some issues with my friends about Hitler's sexuality. Does anyone know the truth?

When he started out, he had a group called the "SA" also known as the "brown shirts". They were a bunch of thugs. When he started to get some legitimate power, they were making him look bad, so he did away with them (replaced them with the SS). He invited the SA to a "retreat" at Leipzig, where they were arrested. Many of the leaders were arrested for performing homosexual acts (which were illegal), which they were caught in the act of. Much of the speculation about Hitler being gay comes from his association with the SA, many of the leaders of which were gay. People who think this speculate that Eva Braun was more of a front. I personally think that this guilt by association isn't compelling.



There have been some books written about Hitler that have delved into his sexual habits. Apparently he had a half niece whom he had sex with for a period of time. He was into the aberrant sexual behavior of having his partner urinate on him during sex.



Just like Hitler made Jews wear gold stars, homosexuals were made to wear pink triangles. They were mistreated in much the same way as the Jews, though I don't know as they were exterminated. Today, pink triangles have become a symbol of homosexuality worn with pride by gays. Well, the point is, he did not treat gays kindly.

Well ok. A few answers, none who really know much. Hitler had a "relation" with his niece. It was known, a houskeeper later recounted, that he liked some pretty kinky stuff. Oh those Germans! Nothing gay though. His niece later committed suicide after he began to ignore her. Afterwards he was pretty much asexual being obsessed with his "career." His relationship with Eva Braun was heterosexual and apparently quite affectionate but it is unlikely that he had much of a sex drive given his constant drug use which included quite a bit of methamphetamine by that time. He was in rather poor health towards the end of his life and probably suffered from Parkinson's disease if nothing else.
