1) What happened to Germany after World War II?

2) Do you think it was right for the allies to divide Germany after World War 2? Why?

1) A LOT! I couldn't possibly write it all here but you can refer to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Germany_since_1945

It gives the History of Germany since 1945 (when WWII ended).

2) By dividing, are you referring to the military occupation zones that were granted At the Potsdam Conference in August 1945? Hm, that's actually a very good question. I don't think I have ever thought if it was good or not. In a sense, it was right because they needed to reconstruct the city. I don't know.

After WWII Germany was in total shambles, the country had been bombed so badly that many cities were just rubble with people homeless with no running water or shelter from the cold, The Marshal Plan was devised as a means of rebuilding the country.

As for the country being divided it would have been risking war with Russia had the allies insisted on Germany being united so it's hard to say whether it was right or wrong, it was an unfortunate necessity.

1. Germany was divided into four quadrants, which were controlled by the Allied Powers — the United States, Great Britain, France, and the Soviet Union.

2. Yes, i think they had every right to take over germany. Germany had been given it's chance to stop after WWI, but they wanted to be cocky, so oh well.

Well, after what Germany did to other countries, it was EXTREMELY generous on the allies not to blow the **** up of Germany. They even let Germany recover and prosper.
