Question:
Should Black Americans be taught their History of slavery was executed by their own ancestors king Afonso to the Portuguese since the 1400s?

It's not White people that caused or invented the slave trade of African people but by their own African kings to produce sugar cane and of the crops to harvest and manufacturer with the Portuguese to sale to the European colonies. So if any finger pointing to whom was at fault, It should be pointed at themselves or at their own ancestors.

While it is true that Africans were available to be bought as slaves, that does not excuse european involvement in the trade. there wouldn't have been any atlantic slave trade had europeans not been eager to buy slaves to work on their plantations. And as demand increased the supply increased. You can't really say it is all right to buy slaves just because they are available, and that those who bought them have no responsibility.

Slavery has existed across the world in many societies throughout much of history. Skin colour was not much of an indicator as to who were slaves, and who the slave masters.

In white European society before the 1400s there were white people taken and sold in slavery (to work in parts of Europe) by other white people. Indeed slavery of black people in Africa by black Africans existed before, during, and after the transatlantic slave trade. Some white Britons and Irish people were captured from coastal areas as slaves to work in North Africa by North African Moors during that time.

And who was it who bought the slaves and kept them, and their children and children's children, in slavery in America for 400 years, and continued to persecute them even after 1865? It wasn't a fcuking king of Portugal or a fcuking "African king".

King Afonso only ruled the Kongo......slaves came from other countries ALL perpetrated by their own countrymen of other tribes capturing and enslaving them for centuries before any Arabs or European came into the picture... then when they did they realised that selling them ( rather than killing them) was a better option...slavery is NOT a black issue , not an American issue and should black Americans really think this then they are not educated and have no clue about history theirs or anyone elses

True - but the Brits, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch facilitated it.

No winners here.

That is part of it. But they should also learn that, long prior to any contact with European, blacks sold other blacks to black slave owners in Africa, and that the first interracial slave trade of blacks was initiated by black leaders who sold black slaves to arab salt traders. The use of black slaves on the arab salt routes facilitated greater volume of trade across the Sahara, enriching arab salt dealers and their societies, which lead to a demand for even more black slaves. The black African leaders were happy to supply more blacks slaves for profit.

Only centuries later were the first Europeans offered black slaves by the black slave dealers in West Africa. That said, the role of blacks selling other blacks to the Portuguese is a very important point, as the Portuguese purchased far more black slaves for their colonies in South America than any entity bought slaves destined for North America.

I believe, if you check carefully, that the history of slavery goes back long before the 1400 to biblical times. The history of slavery should be taught to everyone, so that people (all people) realize, all human civilization has practiced it and that it is not a "Black American" issue.

There was no one king of the African people, and while there was some involvement of opportunistic Africans who sold rivals into slavery, had there been no "demand" there would have been no need for "supply." Those who owned slaves were to blame. Your history is revisionist and invalid.
