As merchants of the Han dynasty traveled for trade purposes, they encountered people with different ideas. One new idea that originated in India was Buddhism, which provided people with hope to escape from the suffering endured by the increase of taxes, corrupt government, and loss of land.

First question is False

Second question is D , I don't think anyone could exit if they were going to loose, gladiators fought to the death.

Third question is A, I used the elimination method. Alexander the Great was not during the Roman period (I think) Aztecs never got that far... they were in Mexico. I don't think Julius Caesar's death had anything to do with that.

Fourth Question is A, Once again I used the elimination method because I don't exactly know what a Legalist form of government is. But I'm sure the answer is A because Liu Bang was the first emperor of the Han dynasty so B is correct, Confucianism was promoted, because it was a criteria of the civil service examination. and D, the civil service system was developed so scholars could become officials of court so the answer left is A.

False. the suffering of which buddhism speaks is created due to desire.

C. Gladiators and animals wer held below ground and raised on lifts. (This is the only one I don't agree with Persephone, the question means spectators, and the colosseum could be emptied in five minutes)

A. Definitely, actually it was a mixture of imperialism and fear of Carthage, but definitely A.

Sorry but I can't answer the last one, I don't really know anything about China and would only end up Googling or Wikiing for the answer, which I don't like to do cold. I don't mind using them for reminders of details on subjects about which I already know things, but I have studied all the others and can speak with some (tenuous) authority.

No, but in another country I was pushed down the stairs for a cheap thrill. It wasn't worth it - Yugoslavian hospital food is awful... The internet cafes aren't great either.
