Are there any examples of 'the white man's burden' from 1945 until now?

So I'm writing an essay about the white man's burden, and I was wondering if there are any examples of (preferably) British annexation of colonies or preservation of colonies, using the white man's burden as a reason? The white man's burder is a command to white men to colonise and rule other nations for the benefit of those people, for people who don't know yet.

I do not think British used "white man's burden" as an excuse to hold colonies after 1945.

They became ashamed of even mentioning it.

They just let all non-white and even white colonies go their ways.

But doing that they just decided to drop their "white man's burden" sometimes to the detriment of the people living in colonies.

Case in point - Rhodesia. Under white men that country had the best agriculture on the continent. Africans worked hard, but had plenty of food and were much richer than Africans in the neighboring countries ruled by Africans.

But then Africans came to power and drove white men away. Result of that liberation - extreme poverty and starvation. But no burden.

Bill Gates charity work pretty much falls under this. As does nearly all UN programs, the US peace corpse, the IMF, and the world bank. Most UN peace keeping programs. As does much of the Green Revolution, the results of which feed those extra three billion people.

Oh wait or do you mean it only in the paternal context, that is, the post-colonial interpretation, rather than the idea that the rich and powerful have obligations to the poor?

If so, then use the IMF and world bank,as your professor will surely be convinced that loaning countries money for development is the devil incarnate.

the white mans burden is not a directive to colonise- but a directive to feed the hungry, free the slaves and- generally speaking- stop "savages" from killing innocent people

examples of "white man's burden" is all the food aid going to starving Africa (funny that the richest oil producing countries don't contribute to that), all the peace expeditions blocking invasions, civil wars or toppling murderous dictators

if you really must have Brits as example it is the Falkland war- going to war to help a de-facto colony who does not wish to be "liberated" by a foreign country. Protecting Belize comes into the same cathegory
