Hiram Abiff was the master builder on King Solomon's Temple, Masonic legend has him being murdered before finishing the task but historically was he killed, or did he go on to finish the task

The Hiramic Legend, the Death of the Builder, is not supported by current Biblical canon. Very little if anything remains about the building of Solomon's Temple and Hiram Abiff.
Until older and thus closer to the orginal texts like the Qumran documents are released to the public, I doubt that scholars will know much about it.

In an allegorical sense did Hiram come back to rebuild the temple after the now lost word was used to lift him from death to complete the temple is a great question. Now you must ask what is the temple and whom is Hiram? Whom does Hiram repersent.

I heard he hired a bunch of illegal aliens to get the job done. He paid 'em $7 an hour and got it finished in a couple of days.
Then he died in peace.
But the immigrants wouldn't leave the temple and were granted squatters rites by the Supreme Court.
To this day on a clear night if you listen closely you can still hear them playing "La Bamba".
