You have to be kidding? He tried to take over Europe. His nemesis was Russia. Many agree that this is why the Allies finally won WWII, because Hitler opened up the eastern front, although his troops were over stretched, just to prove that he could succeed where Napoleon failed. He couldn't.

That would be Napoleon Bonaparte. If my memory serves me right there were 3 Napoleons.

England Rocks: He was French. He was from Corsica, which isn't all that close to France, in fact, it's in the Ligurian Sea, south of Genoa, Italy.

You may be a troll but modern America celebrates ignorance so widely I think you may actually be wondering, as you may have been deprived of knowledge because of popular media.

Napoleon Bonaparte was born on a small island off the mainland of Italy. He was raised in an academia style environment ( obviously he was born to the Bonaparte family so he was raised in wealth ) and was basically groomed to be a high noble ( a noble is basically a wealthy person that, in the time, was educated in the fine arts, reading, painting, writing, etc. ) or to hold a position of the sort.

In his adulthood he overthrew the French government ( search for the French Revolution to gain retrospect ) and claimed himself Emperor of France. He then went on to conquer various civilizations, etc, etc. He was defeated when he tried to invade and conquer Russia. His men were not prepared for the harsh winter and long marches, their supply line was cut off and the Tzar of Russia succeeded in defeating him. He was quite short and a little on the 'plump' side. He had many great lines, sayings, quotes and battles. Look him up.

Kaufman - 5.8 yards-per-carry in 1996. Huskies' all-time leader in rushing yards and several other categories, including four 200-yard+ games. McCallum - Two-time consensus All-American, set a record for all-purpose yards, and in '93 ran for 3 touchdowns vs. Denver in the Wild Card. Strictly as pros: McCallum never rushed for more than 536 yards in a season and is remembered mostly for Ken Norton, Jr. hyper-extending his knee on a Monday Night game that ended his career. Kaufman was only the regular started for his final two seasons and did, to his credit, run for over 1,000 yards and, again, averaged 5.8 yards-per-carry one season. I'd say Kaufman.

The patron saint of battlefield butchery. "Bony" started as a Corsican bandit, made himself dictator of France, led a disastrous invasion of Russia and died in prison on the British South Atlantic island of Saint Helena, and then had his (distorted) memory used for PR reasons by King Louis Philippe in the 1830s who made him France's greatest hero, even above Clovis, Charlemagne, St. Louis. and Joan of Arc.

An English novelist has defined maturity in the human female as when she ceases to admire Mary Queen of Scots. I would similarly define maturity in the human male as when he ceases to admire Napoleone Buonaparte.
