The Germans would have arrived at the kremlin, but barely, and the Soviets would fight until all of Moscow was lost. However, I believe that the soviets would have reclaimed Moscow within a year of it being taken, but Moscow would had been destroyed due to the burn and retreat tatic of the USSR and anything left would have been destroyed by the German advance, and later the USSR's advance.

"If the Battle of Moscow was fought during spring?"

The Germans sure got close, to the Moscow suburbs if I remember right.

I'm not so certain weather was the end all and be all... yes supply and conditions would've been better, the ceasing of hostilities due to winter wouldn't have been a factor as early; but I think the fresh fully equipped Siberians just tipped the scale in itself. That and Stalin deciding to stay in Moscow.

If Stalin didn't think his flank against the Japanese was secure and kept the Siberians stationed there - that I think would've been a more substantial factor than the battle being fought earlier.

Moscow is one of many biggest cities in the world. Is just a town that's developed fast in recent ages, and, consequently, comprises high-rise suburbs encompassing a comparatively compact ancient middle with lots of fascinating historical architecture. The most important host to Moscow may be the Red Square that's been for centuries, the center and heart of Russia. Here, you can look at the Century St. Basil's Cathedral, one of the very most famous items of architecture on the planet and the constructivist chart of Lenin's Mausoleum. Red Square is definitely a rich invest icons of Russia's turbulent and fascinating past.

Maybe if the Germans could really have acted fast. But the Russians had built up enormous reserves that would have pushed the Germans back at the very least if not destroyed the entire army as happened. It could have only been accomplished if Germany could have broken the will of Stalin before the reserves could have been built up.

I think you mean Operation Barbarossa because the Germans never reached Moscow but Napoleon did. If they had done it soon they might have made more ground but the outcome would have been the same once the winter came.

The tanks would not have been frozen in the mud with oil solidified, while the T-34 were plowing through the snow... i'd say the Werhmacht would've reached the golden spires for sure.

Never made it to Moscow but Russia would have fallen if they focused on the wars they already had going. If America never reinforced Britain Europe would have become a big Germany...
