Hitler's work schedule is described by Albert Speer in his book, "Inside the Third Reich".
Typically he rose very late in the morning. His mornings and early afternoon was occupied by signing orders and making oral decisions on matters brought to his attention by his adjutant, Martin Bormann. If a subordinate had a crucial need to see him, they might wait in his sitting room waiting for him.
During the afternoons he would do activities such as military reviews. Later in the war afternoons were filled with war briefings.
Dinner would be late. Typically he invited a group of close associates to have dinner with. In the evenings they would often watch newsreels or movies with his friends in a private theater.
After his friends were dismissed around 10 pm Hitler would work on his own very late into the night, usually until 2am or 3am in the morning. He would use this time to study matters he considered important such as tank armor, military developments, aircraft technology, etc. Hitler became extremely well informed about Germany's military technology and the progress of the war through this study. In his bedroom he had huge stacks of military reports and specifications which he read constantly.
For leisure Hitler would walk his dog and watch movies. He like to do light hiking as well.
Hitler micromanaged the war and had a huge impact on its progress and direction. He was actively involved making critical decisions on every level, both economic and militarily. In some cases he even directed small troop and armor movements. Hitler would often interrogate soldiers to whom he was presenting commendations in order to discover the ground level details of the war.
Naturally, many of the professionals who oversaw Germany's organizations resented Hitler's close involvement with their domains, but noone doubted that he took a very active role making decisions and determining Germany's fate.
