I am wondering if anyone is aware of paranormal activities happening in Auschwitz death camps? We hear about what happened there then, but what about now? Is anyone aware of a famous medium who visited Auschwitz? If there are hauntings, what kind?

Interesting question. but actually no, I don't know of mediums visitings Auschwitz and Birkenau. I'm sure some must have - -

And you'd think there would be a constant murmur on the Ramp, in the barracks, in the ruins of the Krematoria.

But at Birkenau especially--the death camp--, the whole place feels so completely washed in evil, it is so overwhelming that i almost wonder is the totality of suffering so much it may be hard for any individual voices to come through .

I've been there twice, both times with someone, who' had become a dear friend; she was there in 1944, and her parents and siblings were murdered.

The first time I was there was at late afternoon to dusk, shooting a film, hardly anyone else in the camp but our small crew......

And it is a VERY very dead feeling place.

It is an overwhelming numbness.

It is an absence.

Yes, there are a number of ghosts who apparently haunt Auschwitz...

1. Irma Grese, "the most notorious SS guard in the history of Auschwitz." She was hanged. After a number of people refused to be the hangman, Samuel Lutzheim, who was Jewish, was chosen. She "swore that she would return from the dead if Lutzheim was allowed to touch her." She was hanged in 1945 by Lutzheim. The first sighting of her was by the night watchman in 1948 in the crematorium. Leni Riefenstahl, a German film director and actress, wanted to make a movie about the haunting, but the government said she would be arrested if she tried.

2. "Birds still refuse to sing in the trees surrounding the death camps and there is little evidence of a thriving natural environment anywhere nearby....

People have reported cold spots and areas of intense emotional concentration. Recent reports have come in that while touring the camp some have been touched or even grabbed by unseen hands. One visitor report that someone or something tugged on her clothes and she heard a voice whispering to her but could not make out anything but one or two words. " Please and leave"!...

Photographs over the years have revealed the presence of spirit manifestations in the form of misty apparitions, shadows, light anomalies and orbs.

3. Paranormal investigator Troy Hodges went there: "After he got stationed in Germany, Hodges and some friends brought an infrared camera and other equipment to Auschwitz. Again, he said the equipment somehow picked up many orbs, which aren’t visible to the human eye."
