actual reply I think Mongols are likely to have been made of organic compounds which contains a greater risk of entropic change than that of a pure energy being at a place of coherent physics, although perhaps a mathematical construction of the question would reveal a greater risk.

well id ology could interpreted as the study of IDs, so possibly the nomadic asians of high latitude you speak of were either overly concerned with ID or, contrary to my beliefs, their lack of ID concern was considered less than optimal from the perspective of the author of the quoted statement.

first we might want to see what the author of the quoted statement believes is a strength. Are our beliefs similar or highly divergent? This is actually reflected at peoples ideas about some of the North american native peoples. were they "wrong" to prefer foraging to agriculture? is high population density a support or a detractor from the settlers actual practiced ethical strength? i think Steve miller said it fairly well when he wanted to avoid "funky kicks going down n the city" yet a manhattan securities analyst would say, "neener" to that. Perhaps the quoted author is referring to the seattle radio station 107.7 The End. where a musical group called the mongols had an underappreciated song. was it really the ideology of the song, or was it just less fun to listen to than REM? consider camper van beethoven, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZLbnQ81uyc perhaps one of the most idealogically strong songs ive heard recently

If I were a professor I might like reading that, although Id return the paper with a note saying

actually mon gols is french for "my goals" or possibly "how well I did at soccer" Nevertheless you get a 4.0 however as a result of grade inflaltion it is now possible to attain a 4.5 so consider mentioning some of the ancestors of the worlds most populous nation next time, if only as a utilitarian seeking to provide the greatest benefit to the greatest number. oh, you mentioned that, 4.5 then. ]

No. The greatest weakness of the Mongols was a LACK of an ideology.

Unexplainable statement.

Using term "ideology" for events 800 years ago makes no sense.

You can as well claim that the greatest weakness of the Mongols was in lack of computerization, lack of aerial support and low production of the armored vehicles. ;)

The statement....they had no ideology...and that was the weakness....is correct. The Mongols did not kill or torture devastate or conquer, to build....anything....only to wreck...only to have, only to rule...only to enslave...

'Ideology' means 'idea' and implies some logical and thoughtful 'idea' to accomplish from what you do...The Mongol war khans, chiefs, and kings usually had no such 'idea'.
