The six million figure used in the Jewish death toll is an estimate for total lives lost. These Jewish lives were taken by a number of groups, not just Nazis. The six million figure includes Jewish lives lost in other countries as well, not just Germany, and by the various modes of killing, not just camp deaths. Ukrainian deaths were due to Russian and Nazi perpetrators alike, some killed on "acquired" German soil, others killed on Russian soil, some killed outright, others worked or starved to death.

The total Murdered By the Nazis in WW2 was 15 Million including the 6 million JewsThe Nazi Euthanasia Centre at Bernburg operated from 21 November 1940 to 30 July 1943 in a separate wing of the State Sanatorium and Mental Hospital Bernburg on the River Saale  It was one of several euthanasia centres run by the Nazis under their official "Euthanasia Programme", later referred to after the war as Action T4. A total of 9,384 sick and handicapped people from 33 welfare institutions and nursing homes as well as around 5,000 prisoners from six concentration camps were killed here in a gas chamber using carbon monoxide gas.

Each extermination camp operated differently, yet each had designs for quick and efficient industrialized killing. While Höss was away on an official journey in late August 1941 his deputy, Karl Fritzsch, tested out an idea. At Auschwitz clothes infested with lice were treated with crystallised prussic acid. The crystals were made to order by the IG Farben Dupont chemicals company for which the brand name was Zyklon-B. Once released from their container, Zyklon-B crystals in the air released a lethal cyanide gas. Fritzch tried out the effect of Zyklon B on Soviet POWs, who were locked up in cells in the basement of the bunker for this experiment. Höss on his return was briefed and impressed with the results and this became the camp strategy for extermination as it was also to be at Majdanek. Besides gassing, the camp guards continued killing prisoners via mass shooting, starvation, torture

The first period of operation in Belzec and Sobibor lasted about three months, in Treblinka five weeks. After this initial phase, those holding key positions in Operation Reinhard decided to introduce "improvements" into the camps so as to increase their extermination capacity. This decision was brought on by Himmler's order of July 19, 1942 that all the Jews in the General Government, with a few exceptions, were to be eradicated by the end of that year. The main problem was finding a way to speed up the extermination procedure, i.e., increasing the absorption capacity of the gas chambers. Belzec was the first camp in which large gas chambers were built. The old wooden structure containing the three gas chambers was demolished, and on the same spot a larger, strong building was erected, which was 24 m. Iong and 10 m. wide. It contained six gas chambers. Statements differ as to their size; they fluctuate between 4 x 4 m. and 4 x 8 m. The new gas chambers were completed in mid July. (StA Munich 1, AZ: 22 Js 68/61, pp. 2602, 2613.)No Death camps No Cholera or Typhus and is something we must never Forget if you can't prove any of this wrong then dont give me thumbs down.

Dave now calling himself 'nonpartisan'....

I wouldn't mind, but you know that when you claim that the gas chambers were only found in camps liberated by the Soviets and the Wester Allies were denied access to them you are lying.

And you know this because you have been told the names of the killing stations set up in Germany in 1939 for Hiter's forced euthanasia programme, and you know that the West was not denied access to the extermination camps because I have told you. So I will tell you again:

Your own fellow countryman, the reporter W H Lawrence was flown out by the New York Times to report on what the Soviet Army had found when the entered the extermination camp of Lublin, in July, where the walls of the crematoria were still warm. His article, under the headline "Nazi Mass Killings Laid Bare" appeared in the newspaper on August 30th. He said:

"I have just seen the most terrible place on the face of the earth — the German concentration camp at Maidanek, which was a veritable River Rouge for the production of death, in which it is estimated by Soviet and Polish authorities that at many as 1,500,000 persons from nearly every country in Europe were killed in the last three years.”

https://www.wbur.org/cognoscenti/2014/07/23/nazi-death-camps-world-war-ii-joshua-rubenstein

You also say:

"Also, I seem to be the only one in this forum that points out the fact that the "6 million Jews" / "extermination" theme predates Hitler by decades. The political group that was promoting this campaign is the same group that accused Hitler of exterminating Jews just 53 days after he became Chancellor."

I wish you were the only one, because it's not true.

What you claim was a 'hate campaign' by "the Zionists" were reports in perfectly respectable newspapers, including "The Times" and "The Guardian" of the brutal persecution of the Jews in Russia and E Europe. The figures were from 3 to 6 million depending on the population under threat. Hitler was not accused of 'exterminating' the Jews in his first year of office, but of beginning a campaign of extermination, which he certainly was.

Just like your claim that "the Zionists" somehow betrayed Germany, although the Zionists given the Balfour Declaration were not German, in WW1, your assertions are simply untrue. An American reporter was sending news of the horrors of Majdanek as soon as it was liberated.

How does this go with your claim that the Western Allies were denied access to the extermination camps?

Oh, and by the way, what about this article in The Daily Telegraph in *1942*:"Germans Murder 7000,000 Jews in Poland"

1. American public knew that the Nazis were mistreating Jews since the 1930's and had very harsh concentration camps especially for Jews and for all. They had no idea about genocide/ death factory camps etc.

2. The US govt. knew by Xmas 1942 the Nazis were mass murdering Jews and others in their eastern conquest areas. They did not know the scope, the death camp system/ torture camps, or that the genocide was so fully being carried out.

3. The American public didn't want Jewish immigrants (or any immigrants) who they saw as job stealers. Jewish Americans felt this way to. There was some sympathy for Jewish refugees and especially children.

The US government following the American public was against immigration into the US as the US recovered from the Great Depression as immigrants would be job stealers in the US.

*After the War started for the US (Dec 1941) people were much more for helping Jews but by then Nazi Europe was locked down and there weren't any more Jewish immigrants coming out.

4. Before the Holocaust in the 1930's American Jewish charities and non Jewish charities helped European Jews. Some Americans smuggled in Jewish immigrants, others welcomed them (though most did not). The US President (Roosevelt) let in 10,000's of Jewish scientists/ elite/ artists/ teachers to the US.

When the Holocaust was revealed 1944/45 both US people and government helped in everyway imaginable.

Al-ways from 2ND hand knowledge.....

Meaning hearsay, reports, victims, survivors, liberators, etc.

What I al-ways find particularly funny about this and the US govt condemnation of Hitler's so called racism/nationalism.......🤔

THEY PRACTICED THE SAME THINGS DIFFERENTLY ON DIFFERENT PEOPLE..🤔

Which I take as Jews and Zionists were in power then as in NOW. Just more subversively.

Persecution of the Jews in Nazi Germany was well known.  The US in the interwar period could be somewhat anti-semitic, but what they saw in Germany horrified a lot of Americans.  It was one thing to say that you didn't want a Jew in your social club, or as a neighbor, but it was another to do what was happening in Germany where they were being systematically stripped of legal rights and then, in events like Krystalnacht, assaulted.  The Jew hatred of Hitler's regime was one of the big things that marked it as evil in the eyes of many Americans.  But the American public wasn't well aware of the death camps.  There might be some rumors, particularly among American Jews with familial or personal connections to Europe, about deportations and such, but the systematic executions weren't something that everyone knew about.  The US government had a better picture.  They had intelligence on some of the camps, including from a Polish soldier Witold Pilecki who had volunteered to be sent to Auschwitz to gather intelligence.

There was a lot of 2nd hand 'word of mouth' going on about the holocaust that increased as it evolved but what was anyone supposed to do that wasn't already being done?

There's a Holocaust Museum in the US.

Most countries were dead set against immigration in the 30s and during the war. Canada, Argentina and Brazil were notable exceptions, but at any rate Americans didn't want a single immigrant or refugee.

The Swedish Red Cross knew about the Holocaust and informed the governments of the UK and the USA, but the reports seemed unbelievable. During the war most Americans were rather blinded by their fury at Japan, and even though they knew the war against Germany was very important, it didn't have the emotional impact for them that the war against Japan did. The Nazis were clever enough to call their own massacres Russian atrocities - the Nazis, then as now, were experts at muddying the water.

I'm afraid there was no help for the Jews during the Holocaust.

It's important to remember that Jews weren't the only victims. There were 5 million other victims. Gypsies were almost completely exterminated, and a very large number of Polish Catholics were killed, along with Jehovah's Witnesses, pacifists, alcoholics, gays, and mentally ill people.

Edit as i said before i only tell the truth and dont usually argue with fools so they get Blocked

This weekend marks the 70th anniversary of a World War II milestone few people have heard before. It's the story of a Polish army captain named Witold Pilecki. In September 1940, Pilecki didn't know exactly what was going on in Auschwitz, but he knew someone had to find out. He would spend two and a half years in the prison camp, smuggling out word of the methods of execution and interrogation. He would eventually escape and author the first intelligence report on the camp. The Mystery Of AuschwitzIn the early years of the war, little was known about the area near the town Germans called Auschwitz.Poland was in a state of chaos. It was divided in half -- Nazi Germany claiming one side, Soviet Russia on the other. The Polish resistance had gone underground.Pilecki wanted to infiltrate the Auschwitz camp, but he had difficulty getting commanders to sign off on the mission. At the time, it was thought of as POW camp."They didn't realize the information from inside the camp was that vital," says Ryszard Bugajski, a Polish filmmaker who directed the 2006 film The Death of Captain Pilecki.

Smuggling Out Word Of The Horrors WithinPilecki was assigned to backbreaking work -- carrying rocks in a wheelbarrow.  But he also managed to gather intelligence on the camp and smuggle messages out with prisoners who escaped. SS soldiers assigned Poles to take their laundry into town, and sometimes messages could be smuggled along with the dirty clothes to be passed to the underground Polish army."The underground army was completely in disbelief about the horrors," Storozynski explains. "About ovens, about gas chambers, about injections to murder people -- people didn't believe him. They thought he was exaggerating."Pilecki also hoped to organize an attack and mass escape from the camp. But no order could be procured for such a plan from Polish high command."We were waiting for an order, as we understood that without such one -- although it would be a beautiful firework and unexpected for the world and for Poland -- we could not agree to do that," Pilecki wrote. For the next two and a half years, Pilecki slowly worked to feed his reports up the Polish chain of command to London."And in London," Storozynski says, "the Polish government in exile told the British and the Americans, 'You need to do something. You need to bomb the train tracks going to these camps. Or we have all these Polish paratroopers -- drop them inside the camp. Let them help these people break out.' But the British and the Americans just wouldn't do anything."

I think this proves me Right again and we have this for more Proof

One of the British Prisoners of War in the E715 camp near the Auschwitz III camp, also known as Monowitz, was Denis Avey, who was sent there after the POW camp opened in September 1943.In 2009, Avey revealed that, while he was a prisoner housed in barracks near the construction site of the I.G. Farben Buna plant at Monowitz, he twice sneaked into the Auschwitz concentration camp, after trading places with a Jewish prisoner. The following quote is from a news article on the BBC web site:Denis Avey is a remarkable man by any measure. A courageous and determined soldier in World War II, he was captured by the Germans and imprisoned in a camp connected to the Germans' largest concentration camp, Auschwitz. But his actions while in the camp - which he has never spoken about until now - are truly extraordinary. When millions would have done anything to get out, Mr Avey repeatedly smuggled himself into the camp. Now 91 and living in Derbyshire, he says he wanted to witness what was going on inside and find out the truth about the gas chambers, so he could tell others. He knows he took "a hell of a chance".According to his story, as told to the BBC, Denis Avey arranged to change places, for one night at a time, with a Jewish prisoner who was living in the barracks in the Auschwitz camp, but working at Monowitz. The two prisoners traded uniforms: Avey put on the Jewish prisoner's filthy, blue and gray striped uniform and the Jewish man sneaked into the British POW camp wearing Avey's uniform. Although Avey had red hair and spoke only English, the Auschwitz guards never caught on, and the Wehrmacht soldiers who guarded the POWs never noticed that there was a Jewish prisoner amongst the British soldiers. The Jewish prisoners typically had their heads shaved to control the lice that spreads typhus.Avey described Auschwitz as "hell on earth" with a "terrible stench," and said that he would lie awake at night listening to the screams of the prisoners.According to Avey, "there were nearly three million human beings worked to death" in different Nazi factories and the Jews knew that they would only last about five months at Monowitz at that rate. When Avey would ask what had happened to prisoners he had met previously, he would be told that they had "gone up the chimney," meaning that their dead bodies had been burned in the crematory ovens at the Auschwitz II camp, also known as Birkenau.Avey himself witnessed prisoners at Monowitz being shot daily. On one of his stays at Auschwitz, Avey met Ernst Lobethall, a Jewish prisoner, who had a sister, Susana, that had escaped to England on a Kinder transport before World War II started. From the British POW camp, Avey was able to contact Susana via a coded letter to his mother in England. Susana mailed cigarettes, chocolate and a letter to Avey who smuggled the package into the Auschwitz camp and gave it to Lobethall. Cigarettes were used as money by the prisoners and Lobethall was able to trade two packs of Players cigarettes to get new soles put on his shoes. The shoes helped to save his life when Lobethall joined the death march out of Auschwitz when the camp was abandoned on January 18, 1945.

In 1940 after Dunkirk the Germans moved British Pows to a stalag inside Auschwitz they saw what was going on inside Auschwitz told the Polish Underground who told Churchill who told FDR

Yes FDR knew about the Holocaust and decided not to tell Americans or the GI,s until after D day o it would not be such a shock when they found the camps

a ship full of Jewish refugees from Germany was turned back from entering the USA America never cared about the Jews

During WW2 the USA did NOTHING to help the Jews of Europe

because Standard Oil, GM, ITT, Ford, IBM and Chrysler all had Factories in Auschwitz Birkenau and sending Profits back to the USA

Surely you must know about the Pilecki Report which gave concrete information to the Allied governments about what the Holocaust actually entailed. The general public was not aware of the reports.

Any sympathy for Jewish immigrants and refugees would have been engendered by knowledge of persecution not a systematic programme of execution.
